MED Foundation to Support New Pigmented Lesion Clinic at the University
of Arizona Medical Center. |

- August 31, 2004 - MED Foundation of Tucson Arizona will provide
digital imaging services for patients at the University of Arizona Medical
Center that are at high risk for the development of cutaneous melanoma. The
whole body digital imaging is an important tool in helping people at risk
for melanoma keep track of new or changing moles on their bodies. With
periodic photographic imaging patients can more easily detect changing
moles, even on their backs which are not normally accessible to view.
Melanoma often arises in new or changing moles and early detection of
melanoma is critical for the prevention of metastatic melanoma. |
